Former Cambridge professor Jason Arday was described as being 'half his body weight' and 'desperate beyond belief' just four days before he was found dead in south London, according to a close friend who had met him during a gathering intended to offer support.
Lord Woolley, principal of Homerton College at the University of Cambridge, said Arday had been deeply affected by the intense media scrutiny surrounding allegations made against him before his resignation from the university.
