United States Representative Jasmine Crockett, from the beginning of her term, has exhibited a no-nonsense attitude, often calling out her Republican colleagues for dabbling in lies and corruption. She is calling them out again, in the wake of the release of the controversial Epstein emails that contain several mentions of Donald Trump’s name.
During the ‘Subcommittee Hearing on Republican Attempts to Distract from their Failing Public Safety Agenda’ held on November 19, 2025, Representative Jasmine Crockett took repeated aim at United States President and chief mischief-maker Donald Trump. While talking about Trump’s immigrant crackdown measures and the lengths to which it has affected people residing in the United States, Crockett said:
“Since January, Donald Trump has used the full power of the federal government to attack Americans in cities across the country. In Donald Trump’s America, you are at increased risk of experiencing militaristic operations in your home, increased risk of being subject to detainment by masked thugs and wannabe vigilantes, increased risk of suffering injuries due to reckless and illegal acts by rogue federal agents, and increased risk of being deported to foreign nations.”
She also pointed out that under Trump’s administration, the freedom of speech of American citizens is not valued, emphasising that they are at “an increased risk of being targeted” by the federal government for “criticising the president and his friends.” Additionally, she highlighted how the federal courts have been collaborating with the Trump administration and are making no efforts to hold Republicans accountable for their ongoing wrongdoings, despite giving the impression that they want to restore law and order in America. Stressing where they should begin if they wish to adhere to their agenda, Jasmine Crockett remarked:
“..This is the President of the United States standing beside his best friend, Jeffrey Epstein. As we all know, Mr. Epstein is one of the most notorious sexual predators in American history.”
She then pointed out that for “eight weeks”, the Republicans decided to “protect two men” (referring to Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein) instead of “providing justice” to the many victims of Epstein, before noting that the administration is currently panicking over the release of evidence that does not cast Donald Trump and their friends in a favourable light.
