Morbius star Jared Leto has recalled fond memories of filming his first ever movie, Last of the High Kings, in Howth in the mid '90s.
In an interview with Buzz.ie, Jared looked back on his time in the city, remembering it as "just the best".
He revealed: "That was my very first movie that I had starred in. And of course, Dublin was a very different town.

"But even before we all had the internet, there seemed to be unfounded rumours of celebrity deaths. There was a rumour, I guess, it was reported on the news that I had died. So people would come up to me on the street and be like ‘I thought you were dead’.
"And I’d be like, 'Oh my god, that’s hilarious, but no not yet'. That was bizarre, that happened all the time filming."
"Then when the movie came out I was mentioned on the news, I believe, as an ‘upcoming Irish actor'," he joked.
Going on to discuss what it was like to work on the movie, which also starred beloved Dublin actor Gabriel Byrne, Jared revealed that it was a "beautiful experience" that "changed my life".
He said: "I love the country, any time I see someone from Ireland I have a warm feeling, I feel like family. It’s a great place, a very special place, I miss it."
Morbius starring Jared Leto comes out in Irish cinemas on March 31.
The film sees the actor take on the iconic comic book character for its first ever film adaptation. Jared plays biochemist Michael Morbius who attempts to find a cure for his rare blood disease. When his experiment goes wrong, he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism.
