Amorim on the fight's key moment
“Finally my first UFC win, so I’m just feeling really happy right now. Today, I’m finally able to show what I’m capable of a little bit inside the octagon. I have no words to describe how I’m feeling right now. After my UFC debut, I knew I had a lot of mistakes. I came back to my team, I corrected some mistakes, and I wanted to be dominant today. I stepped inside the octagon with my mind like I wanted to show dominance every round, and that’s exactly what I did.”

Amorim on bouncing back from her first loss
“It was very difficult after my first loss in my UFC debut. I was really sad, to be honest. During this camp, I had a lot of tough moments that I was not believing in myself. I spent a week off of this fight camp – I was just so frustrated. I had some injuries in the camp, so there were days that I would just cry. The training wasn’t going well. I was down with myself, but thankful I have a great team behind me. So I put my mind in place and trusted the process and believeed in myself. I just stepped in this octagon to show what I’m capable of.”
Amorim on what she wants next
“It’s one of my dreams since I signed to the UFC, so if the UFC wants, I’ll be ready in November to fight in the UFC Brazil (in Sao Paulo). I’ll be really happy to fight in front of my fans, my family, my dad.”
