Japan’s Prince Hisahito makes imperial state banquet debut after sister relinquishes royal duties

Prince Hisahito of Japan has made his imperial state banquet debut, five years after his sister relinquished her royal duties.

On Wednesday (27 May), the 19-year-old attended his first diplomatic dinner at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, where he helped welcome President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Philippines and his wife, first lady Liza Araneta-Marco.
