Japan vs Spain prediction and odds ahead of crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup Group E clash

The stage is set at the Khalifa International Stadium as Japan face an in-form Spain side as both teams look to secure a place in the Round of 16. Spain are the in-form side going into this match having thrashed Costa Rica and drawing with Germany who are struggling at the moment. Japan sit second and will be hoping Germany do not secure a win if they are to lose this match.

Luis Enrique's side are the heavy favourites at 2/5 with Betfred while Japan are 8/1 to achieve the feat of a place in the round of 16 and a draw is 18/5.

All Spain need to do is get a result here and they are through to the round of 16 but a defeat will leave them relying on their superior goal difference to progress - unless Costa Rica beat Germany which will put them out - incredible right? For Japan, they will need to win or get a draw and the Costa Rica-Germany clash is a deadlock then the Asian nation will progress.
