Janey Godley tells fans her Ayrshire tour dates will go ahead despite cancer returning

Janey Godley insists her show will go on despite confirming that her cancer treatment is to resume.

The Scots comedian is due at Kilmarnock's Grand Hall in February and says she is determined to take to the stage.

It follows the devastating news that recent tests have showed signs of disease in her abdomen, after she had received the all clear back in June.

Godley took to Twitter this week to inform her followers of the situation, sparking fears over her upcoming nationwide 'Not Dead Yet' tour.

She is due on stage in Kilmarnock on February 8 and 9.

But with support of medics at The Beatson cancer centre, she is set to continue her tour whilst undergoing treatment.

Godley said: "I am determined to keep working for as long and for as best I can.

"It’s fair to say it will be my last comedy tour. My family, management team and close friends are supporting me throughout this time, and I want to thank everyone online and in real life who has been holding me up throughout this whole journey.

"I hope to see you all in out there in the audience next February/March. Have a lovely Christmas and hold your loved ones close."
