Janey Godley feels like her 'soul is broken' as she breaks down in tears with heartbreaking update

Janey Godley says she's struggling so much she feels her 'soul is f*****g broken'.

The Scots comedian got tearful in a heartbreaking video as she discussed her cancer diagnosis with her daughter Ashley.

At the start of the month, Janey underwent a hysterectomy after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Following the major operation, the 61-year-old was told she has s tage three ovarian cancer.

This means Janey's cancer has spread beyond her ovaries and will now require further treatment.

Stage 3b means there are cancer growths 2cm or smaller in size on the lining of the abdomen and there may also be cancer in the lymph nodes.

Janey has tried to stay positive but in a recent video, she admitted that she's finding things really tough.

Speaking with her daughter, who asked her how she's feeling, Janey said: "It's honestly really hard to find a place where I feel ok because everything just feels really bleak. I know that I've got to be positive and pull on my big girl pants and 'you got this' but there's naewhere in my heid that feels ok.

She added: "And I know what it's dain to you (Ashley) and I know what it's doing to yer da and even the dug has started to p**h herself. There's nothing up with her it's me and my big dark gloom."

As Janey tried to make a wee joke, Ashley told her mum to stop joking about it and have a serious conversation.

She added: "It's just hard because I don't know where I am supposed to put my heid, I don't know where I've to find my peace.

Janey also admitted that a lot of people suggested to her going to organisations to talk about how she's feeling but she said she feels that's not for her.

She said: "I don't do well with groups, I know there are great groups out there and great support out there but that isny my thing, I tend to go inward.

"I know I'm going to go through chemotherapy... but I canny see beyond that, what if beyond that they scan me and fine more? And I know I'm not supposed to think like that but who the f**k are you to tell me how I'm supposed to think?

"What if after all this they might find more and keep snapping bits off me like I'm a f*****g gingerbread man until finally there's one wee bit of me left that doesn't have cancer."

In part two of the conversation, fellow comic Ashley went on to say that she feels her mum needs something to keep her occupied as 'steeping' can't be good for her soul.

Janey answered: "My soul's already f*****g broke I think. And people have been so supportive, and I feel as though I'm letting everybody doon because I've got aw this love and aw this support, other people don't have this love and support and I'm getting it and I'm still not being lifted, so maybe I'm an ungrateful b*****d.

She added: "I'm going to try better to feel better the morra!

When Ashley suggested that she try discover a new hobby, Janey laughed: "I'm no f*****g knitting Ashley, don't whatever ye dae gee me needles!"

And as always, Janey's fans flooded her Twitter with support.

One wrote: "Thinking of you Janey and sending lots of love."

Another added: "There is no “supposed to” in this. How you feel is how you feel, no right or wrong. I am sure you’ll find your way in this. You’re doing the best you can with what you’ve got."

While one said: "This is YOUR journey, Janey, YOURS. Not ours. We, even your family, are not having your journey, so don't worry about putting on a brave face for us. Feel what you feel & do what you need to to do this. And the hell with us. We're good with you doing what's best for you."
