Loose Women panellist Jane Moore has recalled how she was "so nervous" when she had to do her first ever interview with a celebrity when she was just starting out as a journalist.
The presenter, 59, spoke about her early career during the latest instalment of the ITV panel show on Monday while discussing 'memorable jobs' with her co-hosts.
Jane explained her first position at a newspaper was with the Solihull News, revealing that one of the early tasks had been to interview the late comedian Les Dawson.
"One of the first jobs I was sent on was to go and interview [him]. I just remember sitting there thinking 'oh my god, I'm interviewing a celebrity' and I was so nervous", she said.
The columnist revealed earlier in the discussion she hadn't expected to get the position at the now defunct Solihull News, because of the competition within journalism.
She said: "There were a lot of people going for the job and all the other people were graduates, they had degrees. I didn't [though], so I didn't think I would get the job [but] I did."
Les sadly passed away aged 62, in June 1993 after a heart attack.
Jane - who has since worked for The Sun and The Sunday Times - recalled at the time of her first job in the industry, she thought to herself: "This is it. This is the trajectory now."

The journalist spoke about the start of her career during a discussion on the show alongside fellow panellists Ruth Langsford, 62, Brenda Edwards, 53, and Gloria Hunniford, 82.
Jane talked about how getting a column was a "defining moment" for her and made her realise how far she had come.
Jane said she'd been in a playground with her eldest daughter, who was a toddler at the time, when she got the call to say she'd been given an opinion column, which she "really wanted."
