Jane McDonald has announced a new TV job days after stepping in to present the British Soap Awards. The TV personality replaced Phillip Schofield, who was originally set to present the award show, after he quit ITV. After Jane was revealed as Phillip’s replacement she was full of excitement to take over.
At the time Jane, 60, said: "Oh my god…..everyone knows how much I LOVE my soaps, this year I’ve been honoured to be mentioned in Corrie, EastEnders and Emmerdale, so this is just a dream come true.

As reported by Liverpool Echo, the former Loose Women star has revealed another new TV role. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, June 8, she said: "I'm going to be appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox with my best friend Sue - it's going to be an absolute blast!
"We’ve shared some unforgettable moments over the years but I am really looking forward to spending time together on this wonderful show".
Fans were overjoyed by the news. Taking to the comment section, Jemma said: "This is amazing news!! I always thought you’d be great for Gogglebox", while Lou said: "This Morning is the next step surely!"
Rachel tagged a friend and added: "This really is Jane's year". Beverly said: "Hope you are on TV lots more you are so lovely. I will be watching x"
