Jane McDonald bags new job after hosting British Soap Awards

TV personality and singer Jane McDonald has announced a new job just days after hosting the British Soap Awards.

The star stepped in at short notice after Phillip Schofield, who was due to present the huge event, sensationally quit ITV. When the news broke Jane would be at the helm of the awards, she was elated.

At the time Jane, 60, said: "Oh my god…..everyone knows how much I LOVE my soaps, this year I’ve been honoured to be mentioned in Corrie, EastEnders and Emmerdale, so this is just a dream come true.
