Jamshedpur: Thread bomb explodes, two teens injured in Adityapur

JAMSHEDPUR: Two teenagers suffered injuries when a country-made thread bomb exploded in adjoining Adityapur town on Wednesday.

The injured - Singrai Hembram (12) and Durgacharan Hembram (14) - were repeatedly hammering the bomb with a brick when it exploded, said Adityapur police station in-charge Rajan Kumar. The boys had found the explosive from garbage, when they went to attend nature's call. The explosion was of low intensity.

Residents of Nirmal Nagar basti in Adityapur, the boys and their mother were at home at the time of the mishap. Both are undergoing treatment at the Tata Main Hospital. Investigation into the matter is on.
