Jamie Roberts has brought down the curtain on his glittering playing career by announcing he is hanging up his boots.
The Wales and Lions centre has decided to call it a day at 35, with his stint at the Waratahs Super Rugby side in Sydney proving to be his swansong. Over the past 16 years, he has had spells with Cardiff, Racing Metro, Harlequins, Bath, the Stormers and the Dragons ahead of his final adventure Down Under.
He won 94 caps for Wales, sharing in a succession of Grand Slams and Six Nations title triumphs under Warren Gatland, while also going on two Lions tours, being named Man of the Series in South Africa in 2009 and then helping secure the 2013 triumph in Australia.
