Jamie Redknapp has sent a gushing tribute to his son.

The former Liverpool FC captain shares two children with ex-wife Louise Redknapp. Their eldest son, Charley, is celebrating his 18th birthday today and Jamie took to Instagram to issue a special message.

He said: "My big boy Charley is 18 today! I’m so proud of you mate and the man you’ve turned into. You are incredibly charming, funny, clever, kind and a superb athlete.
