Arsenal moved seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table on New Year's Eve. That was with a 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, hours after Manchester City had drawn with Everton.
The Gunners are in a lofty position, having not been in a title race for a number of years. But despite the lead atop the table, many people still have City as favourites to claim the crown for a third year in a row.
Arsenal have only lost once this season - away against Manchester United - only dropping points in one other game - a draw with Southampton.

But despite their position at the top of the table, none of the pundits in the Sky Sports studio for Super Sunday's action between Tottenham and Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest and Chelsea had the Gunners finishing the job. Jamie Redknapp, Graeme Souness and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink all have City to do the business, coming from seven points behind.
And former Spurs man Redknapp could not resist a little dig at Mikel Arteta's side in his explanation for his prediction.
He said: "I just think they (Man City) will catch Arsenal up. Arsenal have been magnificent, I love watching them, they remind me a little bit of when Brendan Rodgers was trying to win it with Liverpool. There's a little bit of chaos with the way they play but there's also a lot of beauty about the way they play and they're doing a great job.
"They were red-hot favouritees for the top four last season and managed to blow that but I do think there's a difference about them. [Martin] Odegaard has been magnificent, [Bukayo] Saka, they're talking about buying [Mykhaylo] Mudryk who is going to be a fantastic player."
