Jamie Lynn Spears recalled the moment she claims she was "locked away" from her sister Britney Spears when she was pregnant at 16 years old.
The Zoey 101 star has been promoting her upcoming memoir, much to the disappointment of Britney, and opened up about finding out about her pregnancy.
Jamie, 30, found out she was expecting a baby with ex-fiancé Casey Aldridge a short while after Britney shaved her head while suffering a breakdown in 2007.
During an interview on Call Her Daddy with Alexandra Cooper, Jamie Lynn said that her parents became extremely controlling after she told them about the pregnancy.
According to the star, they tried to watch her every move and she ended up having to lie about going to the doctors in order to "meet with a lawyer".
Her mum and dad apparently kept her "locked away like a princess" before she was able to be free of their guardianship.
Britney found out about her baby through OK! magazine and Jamie admitted she was stunned that her parents never told her.
She said: "Britney was obviously going through her own s**t, but I think I was so absorbed in my own s**t that I couldn't even think about that...
"I was so consumed with like, you know, I wanted to be around the dad. At first, that was something that, maybe, was harmful and hurtful to her, but I was hurting".
In the months leading up to her due date, she claims she was cut off from the world and kept at home.
She also says she was cut off from her big sister, who was also going through issues at the time.
"My team believed everyone outside of the inner circle was a potential threat. They went so far as hiding my pregnancy from my sister, claiming, 'It's too risky to tell Britney about the baby'," she added.
"I needed her more than ever and she wasn't able [to] help me in my most vulnerable time."

Her latest comments come after Britney took to social media twice in 24 hours to slam Jamie's accusations made during previous interviews.
Jamie ended up pleading with Britney to call her so that they can end their 'embarrassing' feud.
"Britney — Just call me, I have attempted many times to speak to you directly and handle this privately like sisters should, but you still choose to do everything on a public platform," she wrote against a grey background.
"In the meantime, please stop continuing the narrative that I haven't been there for you or that I'm making things up."
She continued: "I'm happy to share how many times I've reached out to you, supported you and tried to help you This is embarrassing and has to stop. Love you @britneyspears."
