Jamie Laing reveals that Lewis Capaldi was almost set to perform at his Marbella wedding but unfortunately couldn't make the dates work.
The Made In Chelsea starred tied the knot with Sophie Habboo in a lavish ceremony in Spain surrounding by their friends and family, just weeks after their nuptials in London. Speaking on his podcast Private Parts, Jamie revealed that he reached out to the West Lothian superstar to perform at his second wedding.
Jamie and comedian Tom Lucy discussed his stunning wedding, when his pal asked: “So what was the whole thing about Lewis Capaldi? There was a time when he was going to come right?”
Jamie replied: “There was a window when he was going to come.”
Tom asked: “He wanted to come right?” to which Jamie responded: “Yes, his agent, his whole team were keen to get him out there but he couldn’t do it.”
Speaking on his other podcast Nearlyweds, which he hosts alongside his new bride Sophie he also spoke about the disappointment that Lewis couldn't perform. He revealed: “I got a call from Lewis Capaldi’s agent saying we’re going to try and get him to come to the wedding as a surprise for you.”
Sophie looked buzzing before Jamie added: “He can’t do it.” Sophie exclaimed: “Why would you do that? I actually feel like crying now. I am really not happy about that.”
Jamie laughingly confessed: “Unfortunately it can’t happen” with a deflated Sophie replying: “That is the biggest flop I ever heard.”
The Made In Chelsea star isn't the only person to try and get Lewis to perform at his wedding as Vicky Pattinson also reached out to the star.
Vicky confessed she then asked sent him a direct message on the platform asking “What would it take for you to sing at my wedding” as he could “s*** all the single bridesmaids you want, son.”
However, she hilariously added that not only did Lewis ignore her message - he read it and then ignored the star's request for him to perform.
