Jamie Carragher has called Tottenham "a disgrace" and urged the club to bring in a "proper manager" after their 6-1 battering at the hands of Newcastle. Interim head coach Cristian Stellini watched his team be outplayed for 90 minutes on Tyneside with the Magpies firing in five goals after less than half an hour.
Goals from Alexander Isak, Joelinton and Jacob Murphy saw Eddie Howe's side fly into a dominant early lead with Callum Wilson also scoring in the second half. Harry Kane bagged a consolation goal but Spurs would have left St James' Park feeling utterly embarrassed by their display and the result.
"There's no words to explain a performance like this," Stellini said after the defeat. "The first 25 minutes were the worst I have ever seen. I hope that the system we changed to give us energy was the wrong decision. If it was that, it's my responsibility. We played with four at the back and if this is the mistake, it's my mistake."

With both teams fighting to qualify for the Champions League, an exciting encounter was expected but Newcastle blew Spurs out of the water. Last weekend, Aston Villa comfortably beat Newcastle, but on Sunday Newcastle delivered the exact it response Howe was looking for.
Jamie Carragher was quick to offer his thoughts on the game on social media. The Liverpool legend was full of praise for Newcastle, but spent most of the post burying Tottenham and urging the club to act now and appoint a new permanent manager, and get rid of "Conte’s mate."
Posting on Twitter, Carragher said: "Newcastle are brilliant, they have been all season. Tottenham are a disgrace!
"How have they gone to a back four for the first time this season, with Porro a full back that can’t defend & Perisic who is a winger. Get a proper manager in right now, not Conte’s mate."
