Jamie Carragher has called out Manchester United legend Gary Neville over Antonio Conte comments with the punditry pair involved in a social media debate in the wake of the Tottenham manager's astonishing weekend comments.
The Sky Sports duo both lambasted Spurs boss Conte for his comments after his side's 3-3 Premier League draw at Southampton on Saturday, in which they surrendered a 3-1 lead with 15 minutes to play. Conte heavily criticised his players in his post-match press conference.
"They don't play for something important here," said Conte after the game at St Mary's. "They don't want to play under pressure, they don't want to play under stress."

In response to these astonishing comments, Carragher said on social media: “Conte wants to be sacked in this international break. Spurs should just put him out of his misery and do it tonight.”
Neville was not having any of that, though, stating Spurs should 'keep him right where he is and make him do his job." The debate then rambled on as Neville got involved in a discussion on how he felt Mauricio Pochettino would've done at United had he been appointed in the summer.
That led him to saying Conte 'was never a fit for United'. Carragher was quick to jump on that, replying: "So why did you champion the appointment of Jose? And argue he wasn't supported after spending 100's of millions and attacking the club. They are exactly the same type of managers!"
Neville answered back: “And after that experience, I didn’t want to go there again! Even though he won trophies!! You did. For the worst United takes we need to look at yours on Rashford, Martinez and Conte!!”
