Jamie Carragher has paid tribute to Roberto Firmino as Liverpool prepare to bid farewell to the much-loved Brazilian star.
Since signing for the Reds in the summer of 2015, Firmino quickly became a fan favourite due to his tireless work ethic and silky play within the final third of the pitch. The subsequent arrivals of Sadio Mane in 2016 and Mohamed Salah the following year saw Liverpool create a devastating attacking unit, which served the club to great effect over a five-year period.
Mane was the first of the front free to complete an exit away from Anfield and it seems Firmino will now follow suit this summer, at which point his current contract is set to expire. The ECHO reported earlier today the 31-year-old will call time on his Liverpool career, resulting in many supporters taking to social media to show their appreciation for the former Hoffenheim star.

Carragher's go-to figure of the famous Liverpool forward line shaped by Jurgen Klopp has long been Mane, but the Sky Sports pundit has no doubt in his mind over the legacy Firmino will leave behind.
He tweeted: "If the reports about Firmino leaving at the end of the season are true, I do think it’s best for all parties. He’s a Liverpool great & will be remembered for being part of one of the best front threes we’ve seen. #BOBBY."
No player has featured more for Klopp during a managerial career that has spanned over 1000 games, with the Brazil frontman turning out 345 times for the German at Liverpool. Firmino has scored a total of 107 goals for the Reds and is the leading scorer from his native country in Premier League history.
