Jamie Carragher has suggested that Old Trafford is 'the only place' Harry Kane can go from Tottenham Hotspur as the striker remains admired by figures at Manchester United.
With Spurs having exited both the FA Cup and Champions League in the past week, speculation around Kane's future has intensified. Antonio Conte's side fell to a 1-0 defeat to AC Milan over two legs, with the 0-0 draw on Wednesday night extending club's trophy drought into a 15th year.
Kane is out of contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the end of next season, and the England captain has been linked with a move to both United and Bayern Munich. MEN Sport understands that the Reds are long-time admirers of the 29-year-old, with Erik ten Hag prioritising a new goalscorer in the summer transfer window.

Former Liverpool defender Carragher, speaking on CBS Sports, suggested that this summer represents Kane's last chance to move away from Spurs. He also claimed that United are the only option if the striker wants to win a trophy and surpass Alan Shearer's record of 260 Premier League goals.
"Tottenham will always be there or thereabouts in terms of qualifying for the Champions League but will he win trophies? No," Carragher said. "If you’re asking me if he should leave to join a team to win a domestic cup or stay at Tottenham I think I would stay. But this is a guy who should be going deep in the Champions League every year, he’s that good.
"Where does he go? That’s the big question. There’s not too many clubs there right now for him. I think the only place he can go realistically is Manchester United. I don’t want to see him there for obvious reasons but Man City have [Erling] Haaland, Liverpool have [Darwin] Nunez, he can’t go to Arsenal or Chelsea.
"He could go abroad but he will want that Premier League goal. He will be the top goalscorer if he stays in the Premier League and that is a pretty special achievement. So if he stays in England, the only big team he can go to is Man United. But will they spend £100m for a guy who is nearly 30?"
Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry claimed he would leave if he had been in Kane's shoes. The Frenchman suggested it would be difficult to accept ending a career without silverware, despite Kane's already impressive haul of goals.
He said: "A player like that, a player of his calibre, should not talk about just his goals at the end of his career. If I was him, I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if all I could talk about is my goals.
"Listen, it’s a great achievement and I have massive respect for him – I think he’s outstanding. But if that’s the only thing you can bring to the table at the end of your career, that’s tough for me."
Kane has scored 20 goals in 37 matches in all competitions for Spurs this season, as well as registering four assists.
