Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool must start Darwin Nunez in this weekend's Merseyside derby following the completion of the striker's three-game suspension.

Nunez was sent off his first Anfield start for the club as he retaliated following a long-standing feud with Crystal Palace's Joachim Andersen and subsequently headbutted the defender.

Referee Paul Tierney showed no hesitation and brandished a red card in the 57th minute of the fixture, to the disbelief of the Uruguayan who had made an impressive start to life on Merseyside since his big-money from Portuguese giants Benfica.
