Jamie Carragher has explained why he thinks Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is not yet at the same level as Mohamed Salah.
The former Reds centre-back was very critical of his old club after their 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League. Now Carragher has spoken about one of Liverpool’s most bitter rivals.
Carragher has spoken about Rashford and whether or not he considers him a world class player. While giving his reasoning, the former Liverpool defender believes he is not at the same level as Salah and ex-Red star Sadio Mane.

“He has always been a level below Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane when he was at Liverpool in my eyes,” Carragher wrote in his column for The Telegraph.
“If he reproduces this form season-after-season, he will deserve to be called world class.”
Rashford is in form for United, scoring 24 goals in all competitions this season. By comparison, Salah has 19 and was recently on the scoresheet in the defeat to Madrid.
Salah has a considerably better record than Rashford across their respective careers at Liverpool and Man United. The Egyptian has 175 goals in 288 appearances, while Rashford has 117 in 340 outings.
