Jamie and Rebekah Vardy enjoyed a romantic weekend together, less than a week after the WAG's public message to Coleen Rooney.
The Leicester City footballer and the mum-of-five beamed as they posed for a snap together during a 'rare night out', following Rebekah telling Coleen to 'put your money where your mouth is' just hours after it was confirmed she will have to pay 90% of her fellow WAG's legal costs last week.
Wearing a lime-green jacket and what a black top for the outing, Rebekah slicked her brunette tresses back into a ponytail and kept her makeup minimal for the romantic outing with her footballer husband, while the England striker sported a black shirt and grey blazer for their date.
"Such a fab weekend. Rare night out for Mum & Dad [laughing-face emoji]," the former I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! contestant captioned the snap to her 406,000 Instagram followers on Monday [October 10], with fans rushing to compliment the couple before the WAG limited comments on the post.
"Well deserved you two! Hope you had the best time," one of Rebekah's followers wrote underneath the snap, with another adding: "Power couple."
Jamie and Rebekah tied the knot in May 2016 and share children Olivia Grace, two, Sofia, seven, and son Finley, five together. The WAG is also mum to daughter Megan, 15, and Taylor, 11, from previous relationships.
Rebekah's latest Instagram update comes almost one week on from the star taking to her Instagram Stories to tag Coleen in a post related to the outcome of their infamous Wagatha Christie saga - seemingly urging the Liverpool-born star to donate the £800,000 she is set to receive from her to charity.
In a ruling issued last week, Judge Justice Steyn said Rebekah must pay 90% of Coleen's legal costs, and that an £800,000 down payment must be paid by 4pm on 15 November, following the judge ruling in Rooney's favour in July after the two WAGs' libel trial.
Telling Coleen to 'put your money where your mouth is', Rebekah shared an image of a jar labelled 'charity' and filled with coins with her Instagram followers, alongside an extract of a previous quote reportedly from a source close to Coleen discussing the libel drama earlier this year.
"She'd be far happier to see the money they would have spent on lawyers being used in a more positive and productive way," the quote regarding Coleen's apparent attitude to the 'Wagatha Christie' case shared with Rebekah's Instagram followers reads.
Rebekah followed up, writing: "@coleen_rooney Lets hope you put your money where your mouth is and some good can come out of this whole embarrassing spectacle."
Coleen has never commented or made any public statement regarding how sums recovered or awarded would be spent and there is no suggestion Coleen has ever pledged to donate any money to charity.
Rebekah went on to share the exact same post on a second Instagram Story moments later. Coleen is yet to publicly respond to Rebekah's latest social media update, but sources close to the Scouse star have claimed the mum-of-four is 'outraged' at Rebekah's charity challenge.
Speaking to MailOnline last week, the insider claimed: "How on earth can Rebekah tell Coleen to donate the money after she insisted they went to court and spent a vast amount of money before losing 10-0?
"It's outrageous, Coleen repeatedly tried to settle and last year suggested that they down hands and give some money they would otherwise spend on legal fees to charity but Rebekah wanted to take it all of the way.
The source added that Coleen has since spent the money on lawyers and is "recouping" the money, and the circumstances are different now to when she earlier suggested they hand over the cash to charity.
Rebekah sensationally lost to Coleen, 36, in July after a seven-day blockbuster trial saw a number of revelations about both women and their famous partners made public in the High Court, after Rebekah launched a libel case against her fellow WAG in 2020.
Rebekah launched libel proceedings against Coleen in 2020 after Wayne Rooney's wife accused her Instagram account of being behind leaked 'false stories' about her private life to the press - something Rebekah denied at the time and still does, despite Mrs Justice Steyn ruling in Coleen's favour.
In a statement issued last week, Mrs Justice Steyn stated the total legal bill - which Coleen is yet to finalise with the court - was estimated by her lawyer Paul Lunt to be around £1,667,860.48
Rebekah has been ordered to pay £800,000 within six weeks and to pay 90% of the costs, which are yet to be finalised.
Mrs Justice Steyn explained that she had done "the best" she could to "estimate the likely level of recovery" but while bearing in mind that Defendant had not yet produced a bill, the cost would be around £800,000.
