James Tavernier admits Rangers will be doing everything possible to beat Celtic on Sunday as he picked out the importance of momentum.
The Light Blues are yet to taste defeat under boss Michael Beale and have been on a long unbeaten run ahead of Sunday's Hampden League Cup Final showpiece. Ange Postecoglou and his Hoops have also not lost for an extended run of games with the Ibrox skipper aware his side are in for a tough game at the national stadium.
He says lifting any trophy for such a 'special club' is a huge honour and whether it be over 90 minutes or 120, his side will be going all out to land the first piece of silverware on offer. It could also provide a boost in their title chase with the captain wanting to keep the unbeaten run going and see where it takes Beale and Co come the end of the Premiership campaign.

He told Sky Sports : "Momentum has been really important. We are unbeaten since the gaffer has came in and we have to continue with this momentum and keep getting the results and see where it takes us until the end of the season.
"I think anytime lifting a cup for this special club is a huge honour. We will be doing everything possible to bring that cup back to Ibrox come Sunday.
"Obviously on our behalf, if we do win the cup, it will keep us in that right momentum we need to be and stand us in good stead for the next game and the games to come.
"We know it'll be a tough game with tough opposition but we know if we're at our best and sticking to the managers plans, we'll give it our all and whether it's 90 or 120 minutes you've got to do everything possible to bring that cup home."
