Liverpool midfielder James Milner is now a Member of the Order of the British Empire after being named on the honours list in June last year for his services to football and charity.
The 37-year-old started his playing career in the Premier League in 2002 with his boyhood club Leeds United. He was sold to Newcastle two years later following relegation with Leeds.
Milner completed a move to Liverpool from Manchester City in 2015 and has gone on to win every major honour in the club game while making 607 appearances in the Premier League along the way.

The Liverpool no.7 picked up his MBE award at a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday and has joined Reds team-mates Jordan Henderson and Andy Robertson in picking up the same achievement.
Milner spoke to Sky Sports outside Windsor Castle: "It's pretty surreal. It's amazing, I'm very fortunate to come down and receive it. A lot of hard work has gone into it on the football side from a lot of people. I feel fortunate to have worked with the people I have.
"On the charity side as well, my family, my wife and all of the people who have helped us raise so much money for the James Milner Foundation. Hopefully, they all feel proud today and that's an accumulation of their hard work and their support also.
"It's a proud moment and I couldn't have done any of it without the support of my family. They took me to football three times a week, standing in the cold and rain.
"Obviously, the same with the charity and the hard work that my wife has done, my agent and people who have supported the charity and the events we've done over the last 10 years and the amount of money we've raised for some amazing causes. That's why we set up the charity to help so many people going through tough times."
