Gareth Southgate has named the 26-man England squad which will fly out to Qatar and represent England at the World Cup. Former Chelsea duo Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham and Marc Guehi have been left out, as have Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James and Ben Chilwell - though the latter pair are injured.
Connor Gallagher is the surprise call-up as far as Chelsea are concerned, he joins Leicester's James Maddison as one of two surprise inclusions.
With regard to Arsenal, Emile Smith Rowe was out of contention as he continues to nurse a damaged tendon in his groin. His Arsenal team-mates Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka have been joined by Ben White, who has been rewarded for a fine run of form for the Premier League leaders.
Despite the number of injuries at left-back, Tottenham Hotspur wing-back Ryan Sessegnon was not selected. Harry Kane captains England in Qatar with Eric Dier joining him from Spurs' English contingent.
Elsewhere, Brentford striker Ivan Toney has been omitted despite his sparkling form this season. Other notable absences from the Three Lions squad are Liverpool defender Joe Gomez and Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

Several England players will be representing London's top-flight clubs on the international stage. Though, club rivalries will out of the window by the end of this weekend as Southgate looks to avenge the nation's 2018 World Cup sorrows.
The Three Lions are set to face Iran on November 21, the United States on November 25 and Wales on November 29. With that being said, the England squad is as follows.
