James Lafferty and Alexandra Park have become parents for the first time.
The couple took to Instagram on Friday (17.04.26) to announce the arrival of River Jay Lafferty - just over a year after the baby was born on April 4 2025.
In a joint post, One Tree Hill alum James and the former Home and Away cast member Alexandra shared an adorable black-and-white shot of the trio's hands intertwined, and captioned it: "Love has new meaning. River Jay Lafferty - 12/4/2025."
James, 40, and Alexandra, 36, met in 2015 when he directed an episode of The Royals, in which she played Princess Eleanor Henstridge.
The pair appeared to go Instagram official in 2018 when Alexandra shared a picture with James and his One Tree Hill co-star, Stephen Colletti, 40, at the Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco.
The Oculus entertainer also posted the photo on Instagram, with the caption: "Not sure why @stephencolletti and I are dressed for Easter Sunday, but at least @alexandrapark1 came to play. #FTV2018. (sic)"
In September 2020, James announced that he and Alexandra got engaged via a sweet Instagram post.
The entertainer posted a loved-up picture of her giving him a warm embrace in a kitchen, flashing her diamond engagement ring, and captioned the upload: "She said yeah."
In May 2022, the couple said "I do" surrounded by loved ones during a ceremony in Oahu, Hawaii.
A year later, James opened up on their "wild" first year as a married couple.
He told Us Weekly: "It’s been going well. We have the great privilege to be working together on Everyone Is Doing Great."
James added: "The first year of our marriage has been crazy because we’ve been working on season two of EDG. It’s been a wild ride.”
The Haunting of Hill House star noted that "it’s been tough and challenging" balancing work and married life, but it has its positives.
James said: "This is sort of where we thrive. This is how we get closer when we both do what we love together."
And Alexandra feels lucky to be with him.
In February 2024, the Carnifex actress told E! News: "We’ve been together for such a long time - we’re on our ninth year of being together now - so James took his time proposing.
"I don’t know if it surprised me, but it’s better. I feel like it was just the right thing for us to lock it down - because we’re best friends.”
She continued: "I mean, every day is a surprise with James. We’re just really lucky to have each other."
