James Garner has sent a message to Erik ten Hag after he returned to Manchester United training on Monday.
Garner was allowed an extra week of holiday due to his call-up for Lee Carsley's England Under-21s team. Yesterday marked the 21-year-old's return to Carrington following a successful loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season.
In total, Garner would make a whopping 69 appearances for the East Midlands club thanks to Steve Cooper's team having a strong run in the FA Cup and reaching the Championship play-offs. The Englishman would become a key component of Forest's squad which gained promotion to the Premier League thanks to a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town at Wembley Stadium.

A return to the Reds this season was ruled out last week when United goalkeeper Dean Henderson made a loan switch to the City Ground. According to Premier League rules, a top flight side cannot receive more than one loan player from a single club.
But Garner is pleased to be at United this pre-season and shared his delight on Instagram. The midfielder posted a picture from training with the caption: "Good to be back."
