James Corden shares excitement at finding Joe Biden's 'ice cream button'

It’s every child’s dream.

US President Joe Biden has installed an “ice cream button” in the White House so he can enjoy his favourite treat at any time of the day.

His predecessor Donald Trump had a Diet Coke button, which he pressed to summon a butler who brought him a single beverage on a silver tray.

Biden appeared to have removed it when he took over. But when James Corden visited the Oval Office to film a skit for The Late, Late Show he said there was “a button where he can get an ice cream whenever he wants”.

Biden says it is “never too cold” for a cone while his grandchildren say he is “always eating ice cream”.

James said they bonded over their kids and families while filming a sketch about decorating. “He was full of empathy and compassion,” he added to Capital Breakfast.

Thank you for the music (t-shirt)

It’s nice to see a bit of mutual appreciation from two megastars.

ABBA’s Benny Andersson paid tribute to the Foo Fighters after Dave Grohl appeared at Glastonbury wearing an ABBA T-shirt.

Maybe Dave, who performed with Sir Paul McCartney, could make another guest appearance if ABBA decide to finally get together again for a one-off gig at the festival...

There’s always hope.

Toe curling

Another night of telly for Michael Owen to watch through his fingers.

On Tuesday his daughter Gemma, 19, lap-danced for the Love Island lads and partner Luca Bish sucked her toes in bed last night.

It could be worse – Michael’s pal Paul Scholes was seen on social media biting his 21-year-old daughter Alicia’s toenails.
