James Argent has reassured fans he is "healing" well after having "life changing" surgery to remove excess skin, following his epic 13 stone weight loss.
The former TOWIE star underwent gastric sleeve surgery in 2021 which helped him drop from 27 stone to 14 stone, but he was left feeling self-conscious about the skin around his stomach.
James then underwent a tummy tuck in January and said he has never felt more confident.
Taking to Instagram, the 35-year-old shared a post-surgery selfie and said the past year has been "incredible". In the snap, James wore a light blue T-shirt and beige trousers which showed off his slimmed down figure.
Alongside the picture, he wrote: "The last year has been incredible and life-changing.
"Since having gastric sleeve surgery with @wearetransform I have lost over 13st, Dropping from 27st to 14st.
"The weight loss surgery alongside significant lifestyle changes has meant that I'm in the best form of my life – both physically and mentally."
James went on to share the downsides of his weight loss.
"Losing such a significant amount of weight has meant that there were areas of my body that I was still self-conscious about.
"That is why I made the decision to have a tummy tuck with @wearetransform to remove excess skin resulting from my weight loss that I couldn’t lose through diet and exercise alone," he wrote.
The TV personality said the tummy tuck procedure has left him feeling better than ever and he can't wait to see the full results.
James added: "My surgery went smoothly and my doctors & nurses have been fantastic at explaining the procedure and guiding me through this journey – a big thank you to them."
He explained: "I'm still wearing my compression top but I'm healing well and can't wait to see the final results.
"My journey to get to this place has taken years but I’m excited to see what the future holds and I can honestly say I have never felt as confident or more at peace with the man looking back at me in the mirror."
James' TOWIE co-stars congratulated him on his dramatic weight loss, with Liam Gatsby commenting: "My boy looking like a young Brad Pitt."
Georgia Kousoulou also left a row of red heart emojis.
Ferne McCann wrote: "Looking fresh baby boy," while TV personality Bobby Seagull added: " Looking good bro. And thanks for sharing your journey with us."
