Following the withdrawal of Tommy Fury from their August 6 fight, Jake Paul has lined up heavyweight Hasim Rahamn Jr to replace the British fighter.
The 31-year-old would be the first full-time professional boxer that the American has entered the ring with and he also has an impressive record to his name. Rahman Jr, the son of former world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, has a record of 12-1 and lost his first fight in April.
As a full-time boxer, he would represent a step-up in quality for Paul, who has previously only fought fellow YouTube stars as well as athletes from other sports. His planned fight against Fury appeared to have been planned as a step up in quality of opponent for the American, which could be why he has chosen Rahman as his replacement.

Paul has now been warned by brother Logan that a fight against Rahman Jr may not be such a good idea, with Jake admitting that his brother told him that the fight might not be a good idea. Paul explained his reasoning behind securing the heavyweight as his opponent for this fight in an Instagram post.
"I’ve wanted this fight ever since Hasim ran his big mouth to me two years ago in the gym," Paul explained. "My brother and manager didn’t want me to take this fight. They said it was too much risk.
"The New York State Athletic Commission didn’t want to approve this fight because they said Hasim had too much experience for me. He has over 100 amateur fights. 10x more than Tommy."
