Jake Paul has vowed to stop Floyd Mayweather inside six rounds after the ring legend claimed the YouTuber would be "f***ed up" if he fought Canelo Alvarez.
Paul has amassed a record of 5-0 since he turned professional in 2020 but has fought a fellow social media star, a former basketball player and two MMA fighters. He will return to the ring next month when he faces UFC legend Anderson Silva over eight rounds in Airzona.
And Mayweather, who returns to the ring tonight in his latest cash-grab, advised Paul to avoid fighting professional boxers when he told TMZ: "Jake Paul, as of right now, for what he’s doing, it’s good for what he’s doing but once he fights a real actual real fighter, it’s going to be bad. But one thing I like about him: He’s selling it and he’s making good money. He’s entertaining. I like it.
“As long as he continues to fight MMA guys and YouTubers, he’s going to continue to look good and shine but once he fights a real fighter, a real fighter that can really fight, it’s not going to be that good.
“He’ll get f***ed up by Canelo. There is no way. He’ll get demolished. For what he’s doing, as long as they keep getting YouTubers and keep putting him in there with MMA guys that’s kind of over the hill, he’s going continue to shine. So, I’m proud of him. I’m not really upset.”
Paul has how taken to social media to hit back, writing: “My brother took you the distance. I would finish you in six. Stephen Espinoza (president of Showtime) , please make this fight happen so I can send him into proper retirement."

Paul was referring to his brother Logan who took on Mayweather in a six-round exhibition bout last summer which saw no scores tallied and no winner announced. Mayweather has made a nine-figure sum from his exhibition bouts and claims he will bank up to $20million from tonight's bout with Mikuru Asakura.
In his interview with TMZ, Mayweather said he would only fight Paul in a professional bout if the YouTuber dropped 40lb to the legend's fighting weight of 147lb. "He [Paul] said, 'I don't want to do an exhibition against Floyd Mayweather.' He said, 'I'm only doing real fights'," he added. "And of course, I can't get high up in weight, but I'll fight him in a real fight at the weight that I'm at."
