Jake Paul has told boxing fans they should bet their mortgage on him landing a knockout on unbeaten rival Tommy Fury within four rounds.
By the time the final bell rings on February 26 in Riyadh, one of Paul or Fury will have lost their undefeated records, with the American currently standing 6-0 and his British rival at 8-0. However, the fight is a big step up for both men, with neither having a standout win over a major boxer on their list of wins.
Paul has put down all five of his professional opponents, with only Anderson Silva surviving after being dropped in round eight of their meeting back in October. He and Fury have both promised stoppage victories, but the YouTube star yesterday insisted that fans should bet their house on him landing another knockout.
“I’m knocking him out, four rounds or less, bet the house on it, put your mortgage on it,” he said at a press conference which Fury opted not to attend. He couldn’t knock out Daniel Bocianski, a taxi driver, in six rounds. The guy doesn’t have power, he couldn’t knock out Anthony Taylor, couldn’t even wobble him, couldn’t even hurt him, Anthony Taylor was 25lb less than the guy.
"The guy doesn’t have a high KO percentage. Normally I build up my opponents but it’s just hard, I’m just telling the truth. People are going to see, they’re going to be astonished I guess. The kid’s never been tested, he’s never been in a hard fight, his combined record of opponents is 20-200 [it's actually 25-176-5], he’s never been eight rounds, he’s never been in there with a dog."

Paul is often criticised for his choice of opponents, knocking out MMA legends, a basketball star and YouTubers in his early career. But he will answer the critics this month when he faces Fury, a boxer with amateur and professional fights against proven boxers, whether journeymen or not.
“I have something to prove," Paul continued. "I have two championships on my shoulder, people say I have a chip on my shoulder, I’ve got two of them. He’s been spoonfed his whole entire life, piggybacked off his brother, got into the business because that’s what he was supposed to do.
"He got famous off of some reality show [ Love Island ] and now he’s just riding the wave, trying to get a paycheque so that Molly [Mae Hague, his girlfriend] isn’t the one making all the money in the relationship. I’m going to show him on February 26 that this is the hurt business, he’s not going to like this sport after I’m done with him.”
