Jake Paul will make a further announcement about his next steps in MMA on Friday as his feud with Dana White over fighter pay rages on.
The YouTube star has become an investor in the promotion's parent company Endeavor, announcing yesterday that he has bought EDR stock on the New York Stock Exchange.
Endeavor bought the company for $4.4billion back in 2016, and went public last April with an IPO before beginning trading later in the year.
And Paul has teased that he is going to make a further MMA-related announcement later this week, which he said in a tweet would surprise people in the sport.
"Just wait until this Friday," Paul wrote to his 4.1million fans. "Ariel Helwani will s*** his pants."
Helwani is one of the foremost journalists in the sport, having won the 'MMA Journalist of the Year' award for 11 years running, and responded "oh my" to Paul's initial announcement yesterday.
He hosts The MMA Hour on MMAFighting.com and presents coverage on BT Sport and Showtime Boxing after a three-year spell with ESPN.
Paul has been teasing a move into the sport as an athlete, after amassing a 5-0 boxing record with four knockout wins, training kicks at a Los Angeles gym earlier this year.
He has held talks with the PFL over debuting there this year, while also saying that he would be willing to fight in Khabib Nurmagomedov's Eagle FC and tagging Bellator in his training video.
His last three boxing matches were against MMA champions in Ben Askren and then two bouts against Tyron Woodley.
He stopped former Bellator and ONE FC champion Askren within a round back in April, before being taken the distance for the first time by Woodley to win a split decision in August.
But he viciously stopped Woodley in their hastily arranged rematch last month by landing a massive right hand in the sixth round to earn his fourth KO victory.

And while talks appear to be underway for his sixth boxing bout with the likes of Tommy Fury and Julio Cesar Chavez jr, Paul has spent more time feuding with UFC boss White of late.
The promotional president and Paul have been going back-and-forth in the media and online in recent months, with White accusing the YouTuber of taking steroids during his boxing career.
But White appeared to offer a ceasefire last week, saying that he wouldn't be talking about Paul again.
“It’s not that he doesn’t have my respect, I don’t even know the kid," White told the FULL SEND podcast before UFC 270.
"To be honest with you, right here right now, this is the last time you’ll hear me talking about him. I’m done with it."
But Paul has continued to take shots at White on social media, noting issues with fighter pay and excessive weight cutting in posts before he made his investment in Endeavor.
