Jake Paul hints at how much money he made from Mike Tyson fight amid $90m rumours

Jake Paul has responded to rumours he made a stunning $90million from his blockbuster boxing clash with Mike Tyson.

‘The Problem Child’ eased to a unanimous decision victory against the former two-time world heavyweight champion, who was returning to the ring in a ‘professional’ capacity for the first time in almost two decades.

While the fact the fight was ever sanctioned in the first place has drawn huge criticism – particularly after Tyson revealed he suffered a serious health scare in June – there can be little doubting the interest the clash generated.

Millions streamed on Netflix and the gate money received at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas broke records. It took $18,117,072 at the gate, more than doubling the previous record for combat sports in Texas – which was set at the same venue by Canelo Alvarez in his win over Billy Joe Saunders in 2021 ($9m).

Such was the size of the audience, both fighters were always in line for huge pay days.

A specific number is of course hard to nail down but there have been suggestions crossover YouTube star Paul made a whopping $90million.

Still, the 27-year-old denied making quite that much when asked by brother Logan on his IMPAULSIVE podcast, though did confirm he did claim a career-high payday.

“Is it true you made $90m from this fight?” asked Logan.

“No, who said that? It’s not true. I made a lot of money, the most money I’ve made ever but [not $90million],” responded Jake.

When quizzed on what exactly he’d spent his money on, Paul replied: “Probably a ranch, like a big piece of property.”
