Jake Paul Calls Out 'Canelo' To Determine 'Face Of Boxing'

Jake Paul has called out yet another elite fighter, this time sending a warning to the great Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. ‘The Problem Child’ has called for a fight with ‘Canelo’ to determine the ‘face of boxing’, provided he first beats Mike Tyson this weekend.

Jake Paul Calls Out ‘Canelo’

Ahead of his highly anticipated clash with Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium on Friday night, Jake Paul has called out boxing legend and four-weight world champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez to determine the ‘face of boxing’.

Jake Paul’s next fight is undoubtedly his toughest to date against ‘Iron Mike’, despite the former world heavyweight king being 58-years-old. Should he win this fight, which the best boxing betting sites in the UK are favouring him to do, the 27-year-old has called for a fight with the great ‘Canelo‘ next.

Canelo Alvarez is of course a four-weight world champion, currently ruling the roost at super-middleweight. The Mexican fighter has previously fought at both light-heavyweight and cruiserweight, hence why a fight with Paul has been talked about briefly.

Now it seems Paul wants to challenge ‘Canelo‘ to determine the ‘face of boxing’, should he be successful in his fight with Mike Tyson this weekend.

The potential Canelo vs Jake Paul fight of course all depends on how ‘The Problem Child’ performs on November 15th. Should he beat ‘Iron Mike’, then the fight genuinely could happen in the future. It would undoubtedly generate the most money of any fight in boxing right now.

Canelo vs Jake Paul Would Determine Who Is ‘The Face Of Boxing’

Mike Tyson hasn’t fought professional in 19 years, and hasn’t won a pro boxing bout since 2003. At 58-years-old, he returns to action against Jake Paul, in a fight that has been sanctioned as a professional contest, causing huge controversy within the sport.

Besides that, if Jake Paul gets through it unscathed, he says he wants ‘Canelo’. Not only that, but the Ohio man has branded a potential Paul vs Canelo fight as one of the biggest fights the sport of boxing has ever seen.

Appearing on the TimboSugarShow podcast recently, Paul responded to a question asking if he wanted to call anyone out, saying: “I do. It’s Canelo. This moment will prove that I’m the face of boxing, the largest attraction.

“Me vs Canelo at 200-pounds for the cruiserweight championship of the world is the biggest fight, arguably even bigger than me vs. Tyson,” said ‘The Problem Child’.

“It makes so much sense. ‘Canelo’ is on his way out. He’s going to want a payday, and I want to show the world that all the s*** I’ve been talking about beating ‘Canelo’ is actually true.

“I’ll have the biggest upset in the sport of boxing, and we will fight to really see who actually is the face of boxing because, after this event, I’m going to claim it,” Paul concluded.

Jake Paul certainly isn’t short of confidence, that is for certain. Time will tell whether the potential Canelo vs Paul fight actually happens, but for the meantime the 27-year-old remains fully focused on ‘knocking out a legend’ in his bout with Mike Tyson.
