Jake Knapp What's In The Bag?
Jake Knapp is one of the more interesting personalities on the PGA Tour and made it to the winner’s circle in just only ninth start as a member when he triumphed at the 2024 Mexico Open.
Knapp is a PXG staff player and sports the brands bag, cap irons and wedges, but the former University of California, Irvine golfer has a sprinkling of other brands equipment throughout his bag. The big hitting former nightclub security guard holds one of the purest looking swings in golf and looks set to be a star on the tour for many years to come with his effortless power off the tee.
Driver
What Driver Does Jake Knapp Use?

Jake Knapp had used the same Ping G425 LST for a few years but has also flirted with both the PXG Black Ops Tour-1 driver and also the TaylorMade Qi10 with a Ventus Black TR shaft. Recently though he switched to the new TaylorMade Qi35 and went on to shoot 59 in the first round at the Cognizant Classic event in February.
Some high-profile TaylorMade players like Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler have to this point been reluctant to switch into the new model from their Qi10 driver, but Knapp has seen instant results by putting the impressive Qi35 driver in the bag. We consider the Qi35 one of the best golf drivers of 2025.
Fairway Wood
What Fairway Wood Does Jake Knapp use?

Knapp’s fairway wood choices are interesting and he has joined the growing list of players to put a mini driver in the bag. Last year that was a TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver set at 13.5° but he has replaced that with the PXG Secret Weapon (13°) fitted with a Project X HZRDUS T1100 95 6.5 shaft. The mini driver is a great option for those golfers who want more control off the tee than what driver offers, without sacrificing too much distance. This driver-come-fairway wood crossover has been fairly popular in professional golf since its release, with the likes of Tommy Fleetwood, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Bryson Dechambeau all putting one in their bag at various events over the past year or so.
In addition to the mini driver, Knapp also carries a TaylorMade Qi10 5-wood (18°), fitted with a Project X HZRDUS T1100 95 6.5 shaft. This replaces the Srixon ZU85 2-iron he used in 2024 and its purpose is to bridge the distance between his longest iron and his mini driver.
Irons
What Irons Does Jake Knapp Use?

As for his irons, Knapp uses the PXG 0317 ST irons from 4-iron through to pitching wedge. These are bladed irons that we absolutely loved testing. These irons are a shot-maker’s dream that deliver versatility in a compact, premium package.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Jake Knapp Use?

Onto the wedges now, and Knapp used mixed bag in this area. A PXG 0311 Sugar Daddy II 52° wedge is complimented by two different kinds of Vokey wedge. Titleist Vokey wedges are often considered the best wedges in the business and with how quickly most touring professionals go through wedges, we'd expect to see Knapp change into the new SM10 Vokey wedges in the near future, but currently he is still using the Titleist Vokey SM9 56° sand wedge alongside a Wedgeworks 60° lob wedge.

Putter
What Putter Does Jake Knapp Use?

Knapp has recently replaced the TaylorMade Spider Tour double bend that served him well in recent years and is now using a new Scotty Cameron Tour Only Phantom 9. He has also used a PXG prototype putter of late though so this is a spot in the bag that seems to be up for grabs.
Golf Ball
What Golf Ball Does Jake Knapp Use?
Jake Knapp uses a Titleist Pro V1 Left Dot golf ball. The Left Dot Pro V1 is currently a tour ball offering from Titleist that has been released in limited quantities a couple of times in the US. This ball provides a similar feel to a regular Titleist Pro V1 while providing a lower ball flight with lower long game spin, perfect for those who have speed to burn like Knapp.
The Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x are widely considered some of the best golf balls you can buy and hold a large percentage of the market share on balls in play in professional golf.
