JAIPUR: Residents of Nand Colony at Tonk Road, Sanganer are not getting water supplied for the last one month, thus forcing them to order water tankers.
Water is supplied in the area through tube well and an overhead water tank. As the water level of the tube well has gone down, the pressure became slow and now water is not being supplied.
Babubhai Patel, secretary of the Nand Colony Vikas Samiti, said that there is urgent need to look into the matter. “We went to every office in the city and even gave many applications but there is no solution to this. We don’t have water supply for the last one month and if we order for government tankers than even that is not fulfilled. Where are we supposed to go,” said Patel. Another resident Sunita Pareek said because of the shortage of water, they are not using coolers or washing. “We have even told some of our relatives who were supposed to visit us this week to postpone it because of the major problem of water,” said Maaliram Gupta, another resident.
