We compile July's list of people we reported on who were sent to prison after being convicted of a variety of crimes. Court reporting forms an important part of the UK's open justice system, that justice can be seen to be done.
Some of the key benefits of open justice include ensuring public confidence and respect in democracy and the administration of justice. It also serves to deter people from committing crimes and thereby the details of those crimes becoming public knowledge.
Here are the criminals we reported on who were jailed in July 2022. You can read more about why we publish defendants' names and addresses here.

Hayley Keating, six years
A woman convicted of fatally stabbing her partner was jailed. Hayley Keating told a jury her partner had strangled her, she picked up a blade and flung it at Matthew Wormleighton - stabbing him unintentionally.
She described a turbulent relationship with Matthew in which she would try to appease him with sex. She told Bristol Crown Court trouble flared when she told Matthew that, when they had temporarily split up, she slept with someone else.
The court heard that, after smashing their home near Yeovil, Matthew threw her on her bad and began to choke her. She said she collected a knife from her cutlery draw, intending to cut herself so he would help her, but ended up tossing the blade without meaning to hurt him.
Keating, 31, of Forts Orchard, Chilthorne Domer, denied murder in May last year, after Matthew, 45, suffered a single stab wound to his chest. After a trial a jury of five women and five men cleared her of murder but found her guilty of manslaughter.
Trial Judge William Hart jailed her for six years at a sentencing hearing (Friday, July 29). He told her: "A toxic dynamic turned Matthew into a much less attractive person.
