The Jaguars waived cornerback Gregory Junior from their injured reserve with a settlement on Thursday.
Junior went on the reserve earlier this month after experiencing a knee injury on Day 9 of Jacksonville’s training camp.
A sixth-round pick by the Jaguars in the 2022 NFL draft, from Division II Ouachita Baptist, Junior appeared in 10 games in two seasons with Jacksonville, recording 17 tackles, two tackles for loss and one defended pass.
Junior began his career on the Jaguars’ practice squad but was promoted to the active roster in Week 16. He appeared in one game as a rookie.
Junior spent about two months on Jacksonville’s injured reserve last season after he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 1. He appeared in all but one game following his activation from the reserve, from Week 10 through the end of the campaign.
Jacksonville moves forward with Tyson Campbell, Ronald Darby, Christian Braswell, Montaric Brown, Jarrian Jones, De’Antre Prince, Tre Flowers, Erick Hallett II, Tevaughn Campbell and Amani Oruwariye at cornerback.
