The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense was let down by an offense that was stuck in the mud against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
While the Chiefs were held under 20 points for the first time since September 2022, the Jaguars never scored a touchdown in the 17-9 loss. In three trips into the red zone, the Jaguars settled for two field goals and turned the ball over on downs.

Here are the Jaguars players who stood out and struggled most on Sunday, according to PFF:
5 highest grades on offense
- OT Walker Little: 78.8
- TE Evan Engram: 78.5
- QB Trevor Lawrence: 69.8
- WR Christian Kirk: 66.6
- OG Ben Bartch: 63.1
Only two players on the Jaguars offense earned a grade above 70. Lawrence’s 69.8 grade was a substandard performance for him and still landed him third on the unit.
On the bright side, Little continues to be a capable left tackle during Cam Robinson’s suspension. While the offensive line struggled Sunday, not much of that pressure came off the left side.

- WR Zay Jones: 43.1
- OT Anton Harrison: 45.7
- TE Brenton Strange: 48.5
- C Luke Fortner: 50.1
- WR Jamal Agnew: 51.6
Jones was targeted six times Sunday, but finished with zero receptions. While he came close to hauling in a few big plays, including a touchdown in the back of the end zone, the receiver just wasn’t quite on the same page with Lawrence.
Harrison had a nightmarish matchup with Chris Jones frequently kicking to the outside for a one-on-one with the rookie. It didn’t go well.

- S Andre Cisco: 85.6
- CB Darious Williams: 78.2
- DL Roy Robertson-Harris: 73.2
- S Rayshawn Jenkins: 71.2
- S Andrew Wingard: 71.1
The safety group, led by Cisco patrolling the middle of the secondary, are the biggest reason the Chiefs offense couldn’t get rolling. Cisco intercepted Patrick Mahomes for the second time in his career and almost had another pick early in the game. Jenkins kept the clamps on eight-time Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce underneath.

- DL Adam Gotsis: 53.8
- OLB Yasir Abdullah: 54.5
- DL Jeremiah Ledbetter: 55.3

Lloyd led the Jaguars in tackles Sunday with 11, but PFF wasn’t impressed with the second-year linebacker. He was credited with allowing seven receptions and missing two tackles.
The Jacksonville defensive line also didn’t receive too many stellar marks.

After a stellar performance in Week 1, it was a mostly forgettable day for Ridley, who finished with two receptions for 32 yards. It was also an uncharacteristically mediocre day for Campbell, who allowed a touchdown just before halftime.
Johnson didn’t appear in the best grades section because he took only six offensive snaps Sunday. He made the most of them, though, with an 8-yard rush and a 9-yard reception.
