Jadon Sancho is adamant Manchester United have a strong enough squad to win the Champions League.
The Red Devils are not fancied to lift the European Cup as they struggle for consistency.
Domestic rivals Manchester City and Liverpool as well as PSG and Bayern Munich are among the favourites to rule Europe this term.
United grabbed a late draw at Atletico Madrid in midweek as they aim to progress past the last 16 stage with the return leg at Old Trafford in less than three weeks.
Sancho was one of several new faces to arrive in Manchester in the summer and, whilst the club are currently battling to simply make the top four, the winger is confident about their chances in Europe.
He told the club's website when quizzed on his targets: “Definitely getting a Champions League spot for next season, 100 per cent we need that."

“I feel like we have a strong enough squad to win the Champions League, I really believe that.
"But we all have to work for each other and for us to even get close to the final we have to go game-by-game.
"It’s going to be a tough challenge, but I feel like with the players we have and the experience we have then it’s definitely doable.”
Sancho moved to Old Trafford for over £70m having long been on United's radar.
Initially he struggled and failed to score or provide an assist for weeks, despite producing regularly for Borussia Dortmund in recent seasons.
Now though he has begun to find his best form and has become a regular in Ralf Rangnick's side.
Sancho cited support from his teammates but also the fans as major factors in his recent rise.
He said: “I guess that’s because I’ve been working a lot harder and believing in myself a lot more and just trying to make things happen.
“I’m just happy that my team-mates are believing in me and giving me support, especially when I go one-v-one.
"And hearing the fans when they cheer me on and are telling me to get at my opponent… I’m delighted with my performances.”
Sancho has been used as the benchmark by Rangnick as the German tries to get Marcus Rashford firing on all cylinders once again.
The England forward has been below par for weeks and is struggling to rediscover his best form.
Rangnick said: "We had a very similar situation, if I remember, with Jadon six or seven weeks ago.
"He is the best example of what can happen, again it’s the player himself who has to perform and get the best out of his own performance – and this is the same with Marcus."
