Jadon Sancho jokingly told Bruno Fernandes "next time you pass" during Manchester United's Carabao Cup celebrations at Wembley - but Casemiro was not laughing.
The Red Devils won their first trophy in six years on Sunday by beating Premier League rivals Newcastle 2-0. First-half goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford took the game away from the Eddie Howe's side, who failed to hit back after the interval.
United could have had a third goal in the dying second of the game, when Fernandes stormed through on goal. But, instead of squaring the ball to Sancho for a tap in, the Portuguese forced former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius into a smart save.
Sancho's frustration was obvious at the time and the Englishman was keen to make his feelings heard during the post-match celebrations. While holding Sky Sports' selfie stick, Sancho said: "Next time you pass, huh?"
Fernandes, who wanted to score in the final, shook his head in agreement and said: "Next time, next time". The two then started laughing at the academical argument.
Sancho could hardly blame Fernandes for not passing. With the result all but secure, United's stand-in skipper was well within his rights to have a crack on goal. Although Fernandes has promised to pass next time, he will have no regrets about the shot.

While Sancho could smile about the incident at full-time, Casemiro appeared to be still annoyed. The experienced Brazilian was filmed rowing with Fernandes during the celebrations, although it is unclear what the tense discussion was specifically about.
They could have been arguing about Fernandes' decision to shoot. Man Utd legend Roy Keane, who was covering the final for Sky Sports, asked: "Are they arguing there? I like that, I like it. Whatever they're arguing about, it means they care."
The argument did not last for too long and it will be interesting to hear an explanation. Casemiro was named as the Man of the Match.
Keane, who is regarded as one of the greatest central midfielders in Man Utd's history, was keen to wax lyrical about Casemiro at full-time. The former captain said: "He’s amazing and you have to get up close to him and see how good he is.
"He now understands the English game and if you look at the players at United, it looks like it is the first trophy that they have won, and these players are used to winning these trophies."
United boss Erik ten Hag added: "I said before the game, Raphael Varane, Casemiro, David de Gea, they know how to win trophies. How to organise the team, not also technical aspects but mental aspects."
