Jada Pinkett Smith has said her family have been focused on “deep healing” since her husband slapped comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars last month. During his routine, Chris made a joke about Jada and made a direct reference to her hairdo. Chris had told Jada, who suffers from alopecia, that he was excited to see GI Jane 2, referencing the famous shaved head Demi Moore donned in the film.
Shortly afterwards, Will Smith stormed the stage and slapped Chris across the face. As he went to sit down, he was heard shouting at Chris: "Keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth."
