Jacqueline Jossa hits out at split rumours following 'make or break' holiday

Jacqueline Jossa has addressed rumours suggesting that she and husband Dan Osborne are on the cusp of getting a divorce.

The couple jetted off on a luxury Maldives holiday together, with fans of the actress wondering if the trip, booked by Dan, was a last-minute make or break holiday for the pair.

It comes after Dan, 31, was arrested at Jacqueline’s 30th birthday after a row broke out.

Now fans believe that Dan has whisked his wife away on holiday, in a bid to patch up their marriage.

However Jacqueline cleared up the split rumours while being interviewed for the Soap On The Box podcast, admitting that Dan had been saving for the holiday in a bid to treat her for her milestone birthday.

She said: "This is a holiday that my husband has been saving up for, like most people would have to save up for, saving up to treat me on my 30th birthday.

"For over a year saving up to try and take me there. Then it gets turned into a make or break. Who has that sort of money to just go, ‘Right. Babe, we're struggling. I'm going to whisk you off to the Maldives’.”

The couple’s marriage has been a source of speculation since it was reported that an altercation broke out in the garden of their Essex mansion in November last year, as partygoers helped Jacqueline celebrate her birthday.

The brawl, which reportedly involved guests, saw Dan arrested on suspicion of GBH.

However, all charges have since been dropped.

Friends of the soap star have reportedly been concerned for the state of the couple’s marriage, telling of Jacqueline’s horrified response to the altercation.

A source admitted they thought the drama could be a step too far for Jacqueline, describing it as ‘another major bump in the road’.

The source continued: “It always seems to happen — they have an amazing run of drama-free months and then something happens that puts them back to square one.”

The star recently opened up about making a return to EastEnders, after reprising her role as Lauren Branning last year.

She said: “When I went back recently I was nervous, but I was literally like, ‘I could stay here forever. I love it. This is the best job in the world.’

“I've really realised that that's where I am my happiest and my passion and enjoyment comes from that side of things.”
