Sixth man Jack McVeigh burnt his old side at MyState Bank Arena on Thursday night with a career-best 28 points in 27 minutes for the hosts, including 6-of-7 three-pointers, with star import Milton Doyle also scoring 28 points.
Robert Franks (24 points at 71 per cent), damningly, was the only player to register double digits for the 36ers, whose poor performance came at a huge cost.

McVeigh remained unstoppable from outside, adding three three-pointers for the quarter before exiting the match with his arms aloft and exhorting the crowd in trademark style, allowing Doyle to finish off the outclassed visitors.
