The Kyle & Jackie O show is over as we know it. It was announced today that the KIIS FM show would be pulled from air “effectively immediately”, following Jackie O Henderson‘s resignation and the suspension of her former co-host, Kyle Sandilands.
ARN Media (the owner of KIIS FM) released an announcement on March 3, explaining “Ms Henderson will cease to present the Kyle and Jackie O Show” and “has given notice she cannot continue to work with Mr Sandilands”. ARN also said that the Kyle & Jackie O show will be pulled off air “effective immediately”.
IYCMI, Henderson took over a week off from the Kyle & Jackie O show after a dispute on February 20, when Sandilands criticised her live on-air over her “fixation” on astrology. “You’re off with the fairies, you are unfocused, you don’t give a shit … everyone in this building has mentioned it to me,” he said to her.

Sandilands had been hosting the show during her absence, describing the situation as “tender” to listeners. A written notice was also issued to Sandilands for “an act of serious misconduct”, which is a breach of his contract. He’s been given 14 days to “remedy his breach” or “cease to present” the Kyle & Jackie O show.
This isn’t the first time the show’s been taken off air and it certainly isn’t the first time the show has been been in hot water. The show was constantly upsetting listeners and breaching broadcasting standards. Despite the consistent controversies, Kyle & Jackie O signed a decade-long contract with ARN Media in 2024, reportedly worth a landmark $200 million. With the contract now in it’s second year, it was meant to run until 2034.
The pair had been working together for over 25 years, with sources saying the duo were drifting apart.
Henderson has been offered “the possibility” of an alternative show under ARN.
