Jack Jenkins wants to prove Dana White wrong about being ‘one-trick pony’

PERTH, Australia – Jack Jenkins won his way into the UFC this past September, but it came with a bitter taste in his mouth.

Jenkins earned a UFC shot with a third-round TKO on Dana White’s Contender Series. But even though the UFC president offered Jenkins a UFC deal after his win, he called him a “one-trick pony” in his interview.

Saturday, Jenkins (10-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) gets a chance to prove White wrong when he takes on Don Shainis (12-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at UFC 284. Jenkins’ official UFC debut will come in front of a friendly crowd in his native Australia.

Check out Jenkins’ full media day interview in the video above.

UFC 284 takes place Saturday at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.
