When Jack Grealish made the £100million move to Manchester City from Aston Villa last summer, he cited winning trophies as a major reason behind the switch.
The Citizens have won eight major honours since Pep Guardiola replaced Manuel Pellegrini in 2016, including four Carabao Cup's and three Premier League titles. They have also won two Community Shield's and one FA Cup.
However, Guardiola's men could fail to win a single trophy in a season for the first time if they don't secure the league title. City currently sit one point ahead of Liverpool with four games to go.
After making the club record move from Villa last August, one of Grealish's main reasons for signing was the chance to win trophies. The 26-year-old admitted the opportunity to try and claim some silverware was something he couldn't turn down.
"It’s one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but it was something I couldn’t turn down," he said last summer. "The chance to win trophies, to play with De Bruyne, and to play for the best manager in the World was a massive factor as well."
The Premier League is only competition City can win after they were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid on Wednesday. They led 4-3 going into the second-leg at the Santiago Bernabéu but fell to a 3-1 defeat on the night, losing 6-5 on aggregate.

Riyad Mahrez's late strike had given City a two-goal advantage in the tie, but a quick-fire injury-time double from Rodrygo took the game to extra-time. Los Blancos were awarded a penalty in the 94th minute and Karim Benzema calmly dispatched to send Madrid into their 17th European final.
It is another huge disappointment for the Citizens, whose wait for their first Champions League trophy continues. The closest they came was last season but they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Chelsea in Porto.
In the Carabao Cup, City were beaten by West Ham United in the last-16, ending their pursuit of winning the tournament for the fifth successive time. Meanwhile, Guardiola's team couldn't go all the way in the FA Cup as they slumped to a 3-2 loss at the hands of Liverpool in the semi-final at Wembley.
With City now out of every cup competition, Grealish could fail to win a trophy in his first season at the club. The former Notts County midfielder has scored just five goals and grabbed three assists in 33 appearances this term.
The Citizens have four crucial Premier League matches to play as they hunt for their fourth top-flight title in five seasons. Guardiola's side will lift the trophy if they win their remaining games against Newcastle United, Wolves, West Ham and Villa on the final day.
Liverpool, on the other hand, still have to play Tottenham Hotspur, Villa, Southampton and Wolves. The title race is set to go down to the wire but any slip up from City could allow the Reds the chance to wrap up their second Premier League trophy. A disaster for Grealish, whose main aim was to win silverware and City may fail to have any despite being so close in three major competitions.
